Reuters International reports that radiation may be leaking into the ocean from the damaged Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in Japan.
I guess we all know what that means...

P.S. Just for the record, I thought that the 1998 version of Godzilla was a well-designed update to the classic monster. Which, also for the record, doesn't mean that it was a good movie, just a good monster.
Why do all Hollywood monsters roar at their victims before they eat them? To scare them? If a monster roared at me I would say "Get some new script material, dude!"
ReplyDeleteLet me just check - damn. I was going to say that the Creature from the Black Lagoon was mute, but a quick check revealed that it was capable of grunting. Again, damn.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I'm going to posit that your favourite movie fish are silent. (Did you finally watch Piranha 3DD?) Whether they qualify as monsters...hmmm, tough call.
